6. Menstrual Cycle changes
According to researchers, one out of every eight women will experience depression at some point in their lives. The condition can cause hormonal disruption, making a woman more likely to have irregular menstrual cycles. She may miss a period or have one that is later than usual. Fertility generally declines as well. Many other health conditions can interfere with the menstrual cycle. Still, if a woman has other symptoms of depression and no other health conditions, a mental health disorder may be the cause.
