4. Inability to Understand Sarcasm
Dementia patients are often known for having a hard time understanding sarcasm or similar ironic humor. This is because the people with these symptoms have their minds all confused. They get lost trying to figure out what sarcasm is and what was seriousness. This way, they start taking everything literally and cannot understand even the most common figures of speech.
