Ford Explorer
After a half-year delay due to battery problems, the 7-seat Explorer crossover from the American company Ford will arrive in the summer of 2024.
It uses Volkswagen’s MEP platform, which appears in all ID models, and will likely feature the same battery and motor options – 52 kWh or 77 kWh will be good for up to 335 miles, between 201 and 335 hp.
The car was designed in the United States, but manufactured at Ford’s new Cologne Electric Vehicle Center in Germany. This electric car is currently intended for the European Union only, but if it proves popular, it could expand.
There will be two- or four-wheel drive versions, with a quick charge of 10 to 80% in just 25 minutes.
The price of the Ford Explorer electric car starts at $36.8 thousand and reaches $54.7 thousand, depending on the model and options, according to what the energy platform reviewed.
